About Us

Last Updated: September 2026

Apex Digital Scale is a free publication about money — how to plan it, how to invest it, and how to build something of your own with it. It is published by AD2LYNX LTD, a company registered in England and Wales, and it is funded entirely by advertising, which is why you will never be asked to pay for anything here or hand over an email address to keep reading.

We write for people who are somewhere near the beginning. Not beginners in the condescending sense — adults with jobs, obligations and a reasonable suspicion that they should be doing something smarter with their money, who have run into an industry that explains itself badly on purpose. Most financial writing is either a sales pitch wearing a lab coat or a wall of jargon that assumes you already know. We would rather just explain the thing.

What We Cover

  • Smart Investments — how index funds and ETFs actually work, what dividends really pay, why costs matter more than almost anything else, what fractional shares change for a small account, and how to recognise an investment scam before it recognises you.
  • Financial Planning — budgeting that survives contact with real life, organising your money when you are starting from zero, planning across a household, and the long-horizon questions that are easier to answer early than late.
  • Entrepreneurship — turning an idea into something that earns, how seed and angel funding actually works, what investors look for, and the financial reality of freelancing or running a business on your own terms.

How Our Articles Are Made

We would rather tell you how this works than let you guess, because it changes how you should read what follows.

We start from published material. Every article begins with sources we find and read online — research, reporting, official guidance, documentation from the providers themselves. Those sources are listed at the end of each article under Sources & References. They are there so you can go and check the original rather than take our summary on trust, and we would encourage you to do exactly that on anything that will cost you money.

The first draft is written with AI. We use an AI model to turn that collected material into a structured draft. It is a drafting tool and nothing more: it is not a source, and it does not decide what is true here.

A person edits every article before it is published. A human editor reads the draft against the sources it came from, removes anything they cannot support, rewrites what is unclear or misleading, puts back the risks that a summary tends to quietly drop, and signs the piece off. Nothing on this site goes live straight out of a model.

The name on an article is the editor's. It belongs to the person who reviewed that piece and stands behind it, not to a persona. You can see who edits what on our Authors page.

What We Hold Ourselves To

Plain language. If a concept needs a glossary to survive a sentence, the sentence is wrong. We would rather spend a paragraph explaining something properly than use a term that makes the writer look clever.

The risk stays in. Every strategy has a downside, and an article that omits it is not a shorter article — it is a worse one. Where something can lose you money, we say so, in the same breath as the part that makes it sound appealing.

Corrections, not deletions. We get things wrong sometimes. When we find out, we fix the article rather than quietly removing it. If you have spotted something — an error, a source that does not say what we claim it says — tell us; the address is at the bottom of this page.

How This Site Is Funded

Advertising pays for everything here. That includes display advertising, and content you can unlock by choosing to watch a rewarded advertisement. We think it is better to say this plainly than to let you work it out.

What it means in practice: advertisements on this site are sold through advertising networks and are not selected, reviewed or endorsed by us. You may well see ads for trading platforms, financial products or investment opportunities that have nothing to do with anything we have written, and their presence next to an article is not a recommendation of them. Check who you are dealing with — and whether they are authorised where you live — before giving anyone money or personal details.

What We Are Not

This part matters more in our subject than in most, so we would rather be blunt about it:

  • We are not financial advisers. AD2LYNX LTD is not a registered investment adviser or broker-dealer and is not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority or any equivalent body elsewhere.
  • Nothing here is advice or a recommendation. Everything is general information and education. No article knows your income, your debts, your obligations or how much you can afford to lose, so no article can tell you what to do. For a decision that matters, talk to a qualified professional who does know those things.
  • We do not run a newsletter, a members' area or an account system. There is nothing to sign up for, no dashboards, screeners or portfolio trackers, and no community area.
  • We sell nothing. No courses, no reports, no subscriptions, no tools. If a site claiming to be us tries to sell you something, it is not us.
